Hi. I just wanted to know what everyone thought of Harry Potter. If you read all books/films please tell share what you thought. Even if you haven't seen all books/ films share what you thought of the ones you have read/seen. Also please give a rating out of 5 and tell us why you chose what you chose so this is me.
I have seen all and read all. I enjoyed it because I liked Harry and his adventures. I also like Draco because his hair is cool, LOL, I would rate it ***** because I thouroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks

I should probably start by stating that it would be very difficult to rate the books with the movies. So books first...
The books easily get a 6/5. The potter series will go down in history along with "The Lord Of The Rings" and "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer." Masterfully written and gripping for all ages. I will be reading all these books for years to come.
Then we come to the movies. I could rate them all individually but...no. The movies get a 4/5 in my book. Im sure you think im giving the movies a 4 because they didn't follow the books 100%, but no. You cannot expect a 600-800 page book to come out on the screen in a few hours. They tried real hard in the beginning (Columbus's efforts much appreciated)but started to slack later on.
But not even this is the real reason the movies get a 4. Its because of the "stuff" the director decided to throw in that had nothing to do with the movies' plot, nor book storyline. I'm of course referring to the burrow being burnt in HBP, as well as the dancing scene that Harry and Hermione have in DHP1. There are a few more but I concede to the fact that despite any flaws the movies are still quite enjoyable.
So, a recap
Books- 6/5
Movies-4/5
Might have been a little more than what you were looking for, but there you have it
